How do I know if it's the main sewer line?
If more than one fixture is affected — the toilet bubbles when the washing machine drains, or the tub backs up when you flush — the blockage is downstream of the branch lines. A single slow sink is almost always local to that fixture.
Snaking or hydro-jetting — which do I need?
A cable punches a hole through the blockage and gets water moving again. Jetting scours the pipe wall back to bare. For a one-off clog, snaking is the right call and cheaper. For grease, roots, or anything that has come back before, jetting is what actually fixes it.
What does the visit cost if I don't book the work?
The diagnostic is $79. That gets a licensed tech to your door, the problem properly identified, and the repair price in writing. If you go ahead with the work, the $79 comes off the total — so the visit effectively costs you nothing. If you'd rather not proceed, the $79 is all you pay and there's no pressure either way.
